AWARDING BODY CONSORTIUM - Motor Vehicle Diploma
Who is this course for? This course is aimed at individuals seeking a career in the servicing and maintenance of motor vehicles. It is designed for the young and adult unemployed or the school leaver who has little access to work based assessment.
What will I learn?

Bodywork

Routine Maintenance

Can I enrol onto this course? No formal entry requirements.
When will I need to attend? Full time - 15 hours per week, plus 3 hours per week key skills - for 36 weeks.
How much will it cost me? 18 & 19 year olds on a full-time programme will pay no tuition fees. If you are over 19 years the fee is £ plus exam fees
Can I get help with my fees? Fee remission is available if you are in receipt of a means tested benefit and certain working tax credits. However, if you are entitled to full fee remission (19 years and over) you will be required to pay a retainer fee of £100. This is returnable to you if you attend until the end of the course.
What do I need? Overalls and safety footwear are essential also writing equipment.
Can I get help with travel costs? If you are 16 to 18 years old, live in Lincolnshire and this is your nearest college you may apply for transport from Lincolnshire County Council if your home is more than 3 miles from the college.  If you application is successful you will be required to make a contribution towards the cost of the transport before a travel pass is issued.
What can I do after this course? IMI (Institute of Motor Industry) Award programme.
