Carole Cameron, General Manager
I have worked for the Company since 1994, starting as a part time tutor and progressing to full time tutor then to General Manager. My role is to oversee the day to day operations including staffing, learner experience, finance, staff development and strategy.
I work closely with our team of Managers who manage the various sections and the Managing Director . We operate from small centres which enable us to ensure that all learners at whatever level or ability can be supported and access a high level of staff to learner ratio. I visit all the sites weekly to meet learners and staff. I am proud of our ethos of helping all learners to reach their potential and of the team of dedicated and committed staff who work for us to ensure that the learner experience is one of positivity and growth.
Carole Cameron BA (Hons), PGCE, MCMI.
Jill Willerton, QA, H&S and Finance Co-ordinator
I have worked at Skegness College since 2002. I'm responsible for the Finance Office, carry out quality audits and policy reviews, and I am also the Health & Safety Officer and Senior Designated Safeguarding Person. My role is to support the SMT and management operations of the College but I also enjoy supporting staff and students too. I started my working life in a Solicitors Office, followed by charity administration, I've been a self-employed book-keeper and spent a couple of years in a Health & Safety Consultancy where I learned practical and common-sense health and safety management.
Skegness College offers a very friendly and supportive environment for people of all ages to learn and develop their vocational skills. We all work together closely as a team and our students benefit from the team spirit of all our staff.
I have worked for Skegness College of Vocational Training since 1991 and during this time I have seen the college evolve from its work-based roots into a college that offers training to all ages, all abilities across a broad spectrum of skills and knowledge. My specialisms include: Teacher Training, Assessment and Verification, Hair and Beauty Therapy, including private and full-time provision.
Within the wider education sector I am an External Quality Assurer and Educational Consultant, for an awarding body, in both the UK and abroad. It has given me great pleasure over the time with the company to see learners that once studied at Skegness College become, highly regarded employees, business owners locally, nationally and across the world.
